PLCALL requires a configured CFI key and writes a 24-byte long-return record containing the continuation PC, continuation CS, and nonzero PA at offsets zero, eight, and 16. The PA binds both continuation values to the post-allocation SS:SP in a domain distinct from protected near returns.
