VECTOR

VEXTZL zero-extends the selected B or W source element into its L destination container. The governing predicate position associated with each L container controls that container. An inactive container retains its complete previous destination value. The operation leaves FLAGS unchanged.

An illustrative W-to-L VEXTZL view: each active longword container zero-extends its low source word, while inactive containers preserve the old destination value.
