VECTOR

VTRUNCW copies the low W field of each selected L or Q source container into the low W field of the corresponding destination container. For an active container, the destination fields above that word retain their previous values. An inactive container retains its complete previous destination value. The operation leaves FLAGS unchanged.

An illustrative L-container VTRUNCW view: each active container copies the low source word into the low destination word and preserves the old destination high word; inactive containers preserve the complete old destination value.
